What are Chakras?
The word chakra is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning "whee"l.
It is a wheel-like spinning vortex that whirls in a circular motion forming a vacuum down the centre of our body.

It is believed that we have seven main chakra centres and that each main centre is connected to our being on several different levels: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.
On the physical level each chakra governs a main organ or gland, which is then connected to other body parts. Energy blocks in our chakra system can usually be felt on a mental, emotional or physical level and can therefore lead to illness unless we keep the energy flowing freely through them.
